Summary
In this wonderfully transporting novel, award-winning author Karen Essex turns a timeless classic inside out, spinning a haunting, erotic, and suspenseful story of eternal love and possession.

From the shadowy banks of the river Thames to the wild and windswept Yorkshire coast, Dracula’s eternal muse, Mina Murray, vividly recounts the intimate details of what really transpired between her and the Count—the joys and terrors of a passionate affair that has linked them through the centuries, and her rebellion against her own frightening preternatural powers.

Mina’s version of this gothic vampire tale is a visceral journey into Victorian England’s dimly lit bedrooms, mist-filled cemeteries, and asylum chambers, revealing the dark secrets and mysteries locked within. Time falls away as she is swept into a mythical journey far beyond mortal comprehension, where she must finally make the decision she has been avoiding for almost a millennium.

Bram Stoker’s classic novel offered one side of the story, in which Mina had no past and bore no responsibility for the unfolding events. Now, for the first time, the truth of Mina’s personal voyage, and of vampirism itself, is revealed. What this flesh and blood woman has to say is more sensual, more devious, and more enthralling than the Victorians could have expressed or perhaps even have imagined.

Where I got it: Won a copy in a Giveaway!

What I gave It: 3 outta 5

My Thoughts:
The first 2/3rds of this was seriously BORING I am surprised and glad I got passed it, because the rest was GREAT! I did not really care for the writing style this author uses. I found it hard to keep my interest on the book and constantly fought the urge to just quit reading it and call it a loss, but Like I said before in the last 1/3rd of the book there was a bunch of twists and surprises...... I never would have guessed the Fae were involved!

Silence Review

Silence By Becca Fitzpatrick

Summary:

They've overcome the secrets riddled in Patch's dark past...bridged two irreconcilable worlds...faced heart-wrenching tests of betrayal, loyalty and trust...and all for a love that will transcend the boundary between heaven and earth. Armed with nothing but their absolute faith in one another, Patch and Nora enter a desperate fight to stop a villain who holds the power to shatter everything they've worked for—and their love—forever.

What I gave it: 5/5 four out of five stars!!!

Where I got it: My high schools library

My Thoughts:
In my opinion Becca Fitzpatrick has out down her self once again!!! I started to read these books back in eighth grade and they have stuck and I'm glade they did! At the time I couldn't really say Hush Hush wasn't one of my favorite books, but I did enjoy them at the time. But when I read Crescendo though, the second book in the series, I was left hungrily awaiting more from the third book. Well the author didn't disappoint let me tell you that! This book explored the nephilim world a little more in this book, and it left you wondering with the what-ifs at the end. I was very happy that this trilogy turned into a saga instead do to the fact that in my opinion couldn't wrap up this series to begin with, or it would have been a little hasty. The next book in the series is out next year around this time!

Where I got them from: From Patrick over at Sea Lion Books!

What I give them: 5\5!!! Theses made me want to pick up the books so bad!!!
My thoughts:
These Comics are awesome!!!!! The are witty and funny, so they kept my attention going and it was nice seeing the story laid out in front of you, especial if you haven't read the books yet (like myself!). The drawing is incredible that it made my best friend envious of their drawing talent! The comic also helped you so much with the characters expressions and feelings! I really wish I could have put up this review sooner, but between my computer getting a virus and crashing, and midterms\homecoming the last week, my dad decided to make the choice of making me wait for a little pay back. But I am back so I am sorry!!!

Summary
Evangeline has spent her teenage years in obscurity. Her foster parents have the emotional aptitude of robots and her classmates barely acknowledge her existence. About to turn eighteen and feeling like a social pariah, she is desperate to connect with someone. Anyone.
When Evangeline meets Sofie after literally stumbling upon her café, she believes she’s found that connection. Willing to do anything to keep it, she accepts a job as Sofie’s assistant and drops everything to fly to Manhattan, where she is thrust into a luxurious world of Prada, diamonds, and limitless cash.
With such generosity and kindness, it’s easy for Evangeline to dismiss certain oddities . . . like Sofie’s erratic and sometimes violent behavior, and the monstrous guard dogs. She’s even willing to dismiss her vivid dreams of mob-style murders, beautiful homeless people living in caves, and white-eyed demons that haunt her each night as figments of her imagination—especially when one of those figments is the gorgeous Caden. When she wakes up with bite marks on her neck, the fairy tale quickly turns into a nightmare. She slowly unravels the mystery surrounding Sofie and friends, and the reality of the bites and the “dreams.” What she discovers is far more mysterious and terrible than anything she could have imagined.
In a world where everyone has motive to lie for personal gain, Evangeline must decide which deception is least likely to get her killed.

What I gave It: 5 outta 5!! I LOVE THIS BOOK!

Where I got It: An A.R.C from K.A. Tucker (signed)

My Thoughts:
I got this Book a few months ago, by winning a contest on a blog, ( I don't remember which one..sorry) for an ecopy from K.A.. But to my surprise when I told K.A I did not actually have an e-reader other than my laptop she was more then happy to send me an A.R.C and to my big surprise signed it with an awesome message of how she hoped I loved it! Well Kathleen I REALLY did!! I accidentally put it to the side and it got hidden in my T.B.R pile for a while, as i did other reviews. A few friends/ Family came by and read it (I am my own little library for friends and family) And they all said the same thing "This was sooo good! Let me know when you get the NEXT one!!!" And NOW i know why! I loved this BOOK! A perfect blend of Sci-fi and Urban Fantasy, a great twist on Vampires. Fantastic characters that that at first you love, then you LOVE to hate! Then some you LOVE again! The magic is complicated and unpredictable which is a welcome change to me, rather then these "all-powerful, can-do- anything Witches" that seem to be everywhere! And the werebeasts are AWESOME! I love Max! (and I don't even like dogs really) I WANT a Max.. or maybe a Big Brown.
But seriously If you haven't heard of this book Check it out! If you have but haven't read it yet GO! Go NOW! I promise you'll love it!
