Beautiful Darkness Review

Beautiful Darkness By Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

Ethan Wate used to think of Gatlin, the small Southern town he had always called home, as a place where nothing ever changed. Then he met mysterious newcomer Lena Duchannes, who revealed a secret world that had been hidden in plain sight all along. A Gatlin that harbored ancient secrets beneath its moss-covered oaks and cracked sidewalks. A Gatlin where a curse has marked Lena's family of powerful Supernaturals for generations. A Gatlin where impossible, magical, life-altering events happen.
Sometimes life-ending.
Together they can face anything Gatlin throws at them, but after suffering a tragic loss, Lena starts to pull away, keeping secrets that test their relationship. And now that Ethan's eyes have been opened to the darker side of Gatlin, there's no going back. Haunted by strange visions only he can see, Ethan is pulled deeper into his town's tangled history and finds himself caught up in the dangerous network of underground passageways endlessly crisscrossing the South, where nothing is as it seems.

What I gave it :
4.5/5 Four and a half outta Five! I Really Really liked it!

Where I got it:
       My Local Library!

 My Thoughts:
Ok so Ethan goes to all this trouble to save his girlfriend who has pretty much dumped him and DOES NOT want to be saved, even though he's got plenty of problems of his own like a dead mother and a dad who has mentally checked out. At his summer job at the Library he meets the AWESOME Olivia (Liv) Who goes outta her way to help him asking for nothing in return even giving up her future Career as a keeper that she's spent her whole life working towards! And He totally starts falling for her, until Lena is back in the picture.. Then it's "sorry Liv I want to be with my whiny brat of a Caster girlfriend ..see ya!" That was Messed up... I really don't like Lena ..can you tell? But Regardless of my feelings for Lena THIS BOOK ROCKED! Mom's always helping from beyond the Grave, Amma who is not a caster, still has seriously Awesome seer powers all on her own Not to mention kick-ass Baking skills! And Lucille Ball the SUPER Cat steals the show!
